Bucktown Chicago Wedding Photography | Amy+William

At the end of October last year I documented Amy and William’s very special wedding celebration. Those two days were filled with laugher, long emotional speeches, definitely good food and plenty of Champaign, the same one William opened after surprising Amy with the proposal during their, now very memorable, flight to England.

They decided to host their rehearsal dinner and ceremony in their home. It was a wonderful idea because their house means a lot to them. They had built it together, step by step year by year just like they had built their relationship. And because most of their guest came from outside the state or from Great Britain where William is from, it felt almost natural and symbolic in a way to enrich that place with unforgettable memories.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was when after the wedding ceremony we all took a few blocks walk to Jane’s restaurant to continue the celebration. I was watching  this beautiful parade of people march the streets of Amy and William’s neighborhood and I thought that; the true connection comes mostly from sharing the experiences and then creating memories together, and the weddings are exactly meant to do that.
